In 2007, the Tax Assessor completed a revaluation of all Meredith properties, assessing them at a full market value as calculated by the State of New York. Her goal is to maintain all assessments at that level.

Taxpayers who object to their assessments are encouraged to meet with the Tax Assessor. If not satisfied with the assessment, the property owner has a right to file a grievance, which is then heard by the Town Assessment Review Board on the forth Thursday in May.

Applications for exemptions for exemptions or reductions for seniors, STAR, veterans or agriculture are available from the Tax Collector and should be filed before March 1.
